Practice Profile

This endodontic practice is the first for Hamilton and the Waikato region. The practice is located in a state of the art purpose-built medical facility at the Anglesea Clinic site.

 

Specialist endodontic equipment was purchased in New Zealand, Australia and the United States. All treatment is completed using the surgical operating microscope www.globalsurgical.com and integrated endodontic instruments www.asimedical.net. We use ergonomic padded dental chairs for your comfort www.a-dec.com. X-rays are taken digitally to minimise radiation exposure and allow more accurate diagnosis http://www.trophy-imaging.com. Record keeping is electronic using software written by a leading endodontist in the United States, right down to signing documents www.tdo4endo.com.

I had treatment for a root canal infection in early 2017. It had been a source of pain for around 5 years without my knowing exactly what it was. Since Mikes treatment there is no pain in the affected tooth, no pain in the jaw directly above and as amazing as it seems no reoccurring ear infection in the ear next to it. I had a fantastic experience with Mike Gordon and the team.  I visited twice for treatment travelling up from Gisborne, it was a very enjoyable experience for getting treatment done on my tooth, which for myself dentist treatment is not something i usually enjoy. Loren on the front desk was very helpful, very happy and positive which was awesome especially when i was a bit nervous while waiting.  Mike and the dental assistant were great!  Mike went through everything he was going to be doing to my tooth on the first visit which was awesome for me to see.  Overall great experience!

When you nearly fall asleep in the dentist chair it is a good sign. Also one thing I did notice is usually after leaving the dentist your mouth is still numb from the injection, however this has not occurred with both appointments for my treatment.
